The two-part exhibition Floor at Stockroom is an installation titled Extent which is a reworking of the floor of Gallery 1, accompanied by the photographic work, Indent. 

The exhibition explores the role/relationship between artist/gallery by subverting the space and related imagery through modification and distortion.

The installation appears as if created by chance by some sort of freak happening.   There is the possibility that the reshaping of the gallery floor could be occurring through immense internal pressures, forcing through and distorting with explosive force, or there could be a gentler energy at work, quietly pushing through the ground, soon to reveal a new object or being.

As both an artist and the director of Stockroom Jason Waterhouse’s installation explores the duality of his arts existence.
