Van, 2006, solo exhibition, Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts, St Kilda

The Caravan is an Australian icon of escape, a getaway to the great unknown. Its displacement within the confines of Linden disembodies its purpose. Van is a transportable living space with all entry points vital to a Caravans function removed and blocked, leaving a husk. Stripped of purpose this Caravan is a ghost of itself, dislocated from its home.

Van is an installation exploring the notion of; sense of place, belonging and function.
